$787,000,000,000.00
Yes, that's 78 Billion dollars. The amount of the stimulous package passed 6 months ago that was supposed the "jump start" or "jolt" the economy. Hmmm... Are you feeling it?
According to a recent survey (link here), 57% of Americans say that they they either think the package had no effect on the economy or in fact made it worse.
Contrary to popular belief, most of this money that was supposed to deliver a jolt to the economy has not even been spent yet, thanks to Government red tape. See, there are so many rules and regulations and legal jargon, that they don't seem to be be able to even spend the money. Big surprise, huh?
Remember the big rush? All of the talk of how quickly the had to be passed because it was critical that the money be dumped into the economy as quickly as possible? What happened to all that?
So many questions, so few answers. So much for the most transparent administration ever...
