We are winning!

The President seems to be backing off on some of the "ideas" behind his health care plan. (story here)

Even as the media and the Dems are trying to belittle and dismiss the Conservative Activists at the recent town hall meetings, they are beginning to sway a little. They are realizing that there domination of the House and the Senate could be in jeopardy over this policy.

So yes, we ARE having an effect! Let's not celebrate yet though. Let's keep up the pressure. Remember: We want NO PART of this bill at all! We do not want a compromised version or a version with a few things re-written or taken out, it is all dangerous.

We can reform health care without any major 1,000 page bills. Here's my two part plan to immediately reduce costs for everyone:

1) Cap the amount paid out on all lawsuits. Sure, we need protection from Malpractice, but it gets way out of hand with ambulance-chasing lawyers and ridiculous lawsuits. If there were caps, Hospitals and Doctors could predict there insurance needs more accurately and be able to carry less of the costly malpractice insurance. Also, Doctors would not have to order every test and lab known to man to cover his hinder parts in case of a lawsuit.

2) Open up health insurance competition by allowing people to show out-of-state for their policy. Currently, one must by a policy in their own state. Repealing this restriction would encourage more competition and reduce costs.

Just these two simple steps would reduce costs by a HUGE amount. Then we could go from there and make other small changes as needed.
