Lottery Winner still collecting Food Stamps?!

Amanda Clayton -The face of a food stamp abuser. This woman is abusing the system originally meant to help those in dire straits and, get this... she sees nothing wrong with it!

How is she abusing the system? Amanda recently won a $1,000,000 drawing! After accepting a one-time payout and paying taxes, she banked just over half a million dollars. That is about ten years of paychecks for the average middle class family of four. (see the original story and video here)

Sure, she's only getting $200 in food stamps per month, but that is money that could be going back to the tax-payers or to someone who legitimately needs the help.

America is the most generous Nation in the World, and I do not have a problem temporarily helping those who really do need help, but this story sickens me and makes me wonder how many others are abusing the system. Remember, we are just talking about food stamps here, not welfare. Don't even get me started on the abuse and corruption in that program. That's a different blog post for another time.
